Romanian Protests Swell to Biggest Since Fall of Communism

Romania's government is facing the largest protests since the collapse of communism as outrage swells over sudden changes to criminal legislation that hamper efforts to stamp out corruption.

At least 300,000 people took to the streets of cities across the country, with about 150,000 gathering in freezing temperatures outside the government building in Bucharest Wednesday evening, the Digi24 TV station and News.ro estimated. That's the biggest crowd since the 1989 revolution that ousted dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. While largely peaceful, protesters in Romania's capital dispersed as police clashed with a group of soccer fans.

The Social Democrat-led government that took charge of the European Union and NATO member last month is already on the ropes. Demonstrators are furious after the cabinet defied public outcry, judicial rebuke and President Klaus Iohannis by revamping criminal legislation at a meeting late Tuesday, keeping the move off its official agenda. The protesters back a four-year anti-graft drive that's ensnared top officials including an ex-Social Democrat premier.

My nephew posted one of the most idiotic rants I've ever read on Facebook.   I don't know what happened in his life to turn him into someone who'd post bullshtein like that but I'm ashamed of him. 

No one really gives a shtein about the refugees...you just don't so stop already and just be transparent. The tech companies that are fueling the frenzy are worried their workforce is going to dry up and they will have to hire American workers. This temporary ban is going to hurt their bottom line...plain and simple and they are investing/lobbying to get public support (go sheep!). Oh and we banned refugees from Syria indefinitely...losing sleep over this for sure...

Social media has turned into this flag raising bonanza where most (not all) want to stand up for something...while sitting on their ass (actually doing nothing). Some people just like drama  and the feeling that social media connects them to a cause (it doesn't).

Don't get me wrong it's entertaining to some degree but holy freakin hell...if people gave half a shtein as much about their own citizens as they did the non-citizens...well that's just crazy talk.

Putin was only close with Iran because they were a thorn in the side of America. If Putin doesn't need iran to be that anymore, he won't give a shtein what Trump does with it.

So the VP sent out a tweet stating that a good way to start off Black History Month is by remembering a white guy.  Never one to be outdone, Trump ups the ante by saying that he wants to remove white supremacists from the list of terror groups.
