One of the main reasons I've walked back my support of the death penalty. Too many cases like this.

It's not that simple.  I'm pro choice but I think abortion is used far too often as a means of birth control.  Life does mean something even if humans are, on whole, not worth much.

it actually is....if you are for the govt. KILLING human beings you cannot be pro life

also the right wing talking point that abortion is used as birth control is even more preposterous than their idea that voter fraud is a problem...no one purposely uses abortion as birth control as no one in their right mind would actually want to get an abortion

that said if people started to use abortion as a form of population/birth control id be all for it....unless you are some religious zealot maniac and think life begins when a gooey little fishy enters an egg who the farg cares if some gob of goo never becomes a person...chances are that person will end up being a terrible human anyway

you can also be pro choice and pro life which is what you are....but you cant pro life and pro death...those two things are kind of opposites

I'm not playing devil's advocate here but from their standpoint, an unborn child is innocent, hence the "murder" rap. 

The guy who rapes and murders little girls is far from innocent and according to man's law and god's law he's forfeited his right to remain breathing.

I really don't have a problem with the death penalty per se.  I have a problem with the state using it as a tool of oppression as it is in this country.  The state really doesn't have a right to kill its citizens.  I'm not saying that I wouldn't gladly volunteer to pop a cap in a kiddie rapist's cranium, though.  Just saying the state has no such right.  It's vengeance murder, plain and simple.
