Um yeah what? Huh? Say what again?

Amateur train derailment investigator and Fox News contributor Sandy Rios told radio show audience today that the engineer of the fatal Amtrak crash was a supporter of gay rights and may be gay himself, saying it was likely "a factor" the crash.

"Now I am not saying, I am not inferring to those of you that are gay rights activists and like to monitor this show, I'm not inferring that this accident happened because he was gay, but I do think it's an interesting part of the story and you can bet it would be edited out," Rios said.

so in one breath she says the accident was likely linked to him being gay or supporting gay rights but in the next breath says she's trying to say or inferring it was because he's gay.

super - glad she cleared that up.

It's a moral argument, and one I buy into.  You can certainly get cheap labor.  And even some well executed cheap labor if you're lucky, but it isn't good to do it.  It's not helping.  I mean, maybe it's helping you, quasi-slave renter, but only you.  The wage isn't fair.  People need to work, and be paid to work, in this system.  So they can spend.  And all that other shtein that we all know. 

I sometimes think the most important thing I do is turn work down.  Motherfargers think they can get magazine quality finish for Home Depot advertised prices, and I want none of it.  You pay for the time of a professional, and a dude who digs ditches for a living, and works hard, is a valuable motherfarger.  It all starts with a hole in the ground.

Millwork and cabinet shop guys bitch they can't find good help but they're willing to pay barely a living wage. They wonder why their three guys quit after a couple weeks.

And then homeowners expect those high quality jobs like you mentioned but when they're quoted the best materials they'll scoff at the price and then buy the import plywood with the voided out cores and thin ass face veneers and wonder why their shtein is falling apart.

As you know I'm renovating my entire place. My buddy is a contractor so he's doing the majority of the work while I assist. Most of the stuff done I figured I could do on my own with the right tools. Couldn't have been more wrong. It's a craft and in some ways he's an artist the way he puzzles things together.
