McCain, Palin, and many others are in my town (O'Fallon, MO) today for some Sunday Stumpin'...  Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will join the Arizona senator. McCain's wife, Cindy, also plans to attend.

I'm not going.

Obama, Biden, McCain and Palin have all been through my neck of the woods in the last 72 hours. I also received recorded phone calls from both campaigns on my unlisted cell phone, despite the facts that I'm registered third party and rarely give out that phone number to anyone.

I can't wait for this shtein to be over. Crown the next emperor, already.

So I was at a semi-sporting event last night, with about 17,000 other people.  They showed McCain on the jumbo screen, followed by a smattering of applause and a smattering of boos.  Then they showed Obama, and the crowd erupted in very loud cheers, applause, and WHHOOOOOs.

I'll caveat though that this group of 17,000 should in no way be considered a cross-section of America.
