True Socialism - which she undoubtedly pushes - and things like the green new deal...which might make sense to regular Dems...are used as smear tactics by the right. Was she right for an environmental position absolutely she's passionate and as educated on the subject as anyone...but giving her a position is confirmation Biden's for the green new deal and her entire agenda. Trying to punish progressives in their caucus is a losing tactic. It's dumb and the ideology that old Dems are clinging to is the same Third Way shtein that alienated working class and labor workers and got us to Trump in the first place.

both things can be right. the AOC/progressive wing can deserve a seat at the table while at the same time staying the farg away and getting in line every other november. overall this is a small part of the base...not enough to ever get one of their candidates to the oval but enough that if they rebel it can cost a democrat the white house.
