IMO, there are ignorant voters on both sides, everyone yells about the sheeple voting for the right, but the urban vote is just as bad toward the Dem's. I typically lean to the right, but I am so sick of all the Bullshtein from the Repub's and the Dem's it's driving me nuts. The left yells racist when they are attacked and the Right yells socialism when they are attacked. I'm ready for something fresh and new. Tired of the same old same old.

Become an activist for open primaries in your state. I'm serious. I think that is a fantastic first step towards de-polarizing the political landscape and getting something measured and intelligent from our political parties. Open primaries force candidates to gravitate to the center rather than the extremes. Maybe its a pipe dream but I'm in the same boat as you (only I lean left). Both sides are intolerable for different reasons, but especially when they pander to the fringe.
