Meghan McCain, one of the last non-batshtein members remaining in the Republican party...

Link dead.

I will go ahead and assume that you couldn't tell batshtein crazy from completely sane, since it's clear you lack the self-reflection to make the correct call for yourself.

The story is still up on CNN and is sort of entertaining, ATV's jackassery not withstanding.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I read it through her blog.  Funny, but you can tell she's angling to be the next Ann Coulter.

Still, for now, size 8 and all..... Hit.

I also wonder how much of the baby weight Bristol has lost.  I have trouble with the name "Bristol," but I could just pretend I didn't know her name.

I'd hit Mom and Bristol in a Republican Sandwich any day, any time, any place.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Stem Cell State backlash

The Republicans are so ass-backwards on this position, it's not even funny.  So now, several states are putting state laws on the books that will still make stem cell research illegal.  This is an issue that shouldn't be an issue at all - the right to life over embryonic cells versus right to life for alive people.

This makes me red with anger.

I get the "anti-human-cloning" thing, although it would rock to have a mini-me available for liver and kidney harvesting when mine decides to start failing.

Werd.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Good. I hope it passes, too. That way when breakthrough occur more of the money won't be going to the sunbelt.

Well at least our state passed stem cell research legislation at the height of the conservative movement... somehow.

George Bush recently gave his first speech since he left office. At one point he talked about how he's writing a book about his 12 toughest decisions as president. Here is an excerpt from the article about his book:

Quote"I'm going to put people in my place, so when the history of this administration is written at least there's an authoritarian voice saying exactly what happened," Bush said.

Lol, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Politics truly is the theater of the absurd.

I know Bush is anethema in these parts, but I liked what he said about supporting Obama's presidency:

QuoteFormer President George W. Bush, making his first public speech since leaving office in January, says he wants Barack Obama to succeed and that it's "essential" to support the new leader.

Bush declined to critique the Obama administration in Tuesday's speech, saying the new president has enough critics and that he "deserves my silence."

Former Vice President Dick Cheney has said that Obama's decisions threatened America's safety. Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh has said he hoped Obama would fail.

"I love my country a lot more than I love politics," Bush said. "I think it is essential that he be helped in office."

If he liked politics more, he would have paid more attention to the fact that everyone hated pretty much everything he did in office.
