And again, after the crusades, well within the last 1,000 years, during the Ottoman period.
QuoteIn the years 1260-1516, Palestine was part of the Empire of the Mamluks who ruled first from Turkey, then from Egypt. War and uprisings, bloodshed and destruction followed. Jews suffered persecution and humiliation but the surviving records cite at least 30 Jewish urban and rural communities at the opening of the 16th century.

QuoteIn 1660, the Jews of Safed and Jerusalem were massacred by the Arabs at the behest of the Turks. Safed was emptied of inhabitants and only one Jew escaped from Jerusalem. These events surround the episode of the false Messiah Shabatai Tsevi.

QuoteThe connection of the Jewish people to the land was kept strongly. In 1888, Professor Sir John William Dawson wrote:

"Until today (1888), no people has succeeded in establishing national dominion in the Land of Israel. No national unity, in the spirit of nationalism, has acquired any hold there. The mixed multitude of itinerant tribes that managed o settle there did so on lease, as temporary residents. It seems that they await the return of the permanent residents of the land."[4]
In 1821 the brothers of murdered Jewish adviser and finance minister to the rulers of the Galilee, Haim Farkhi formed an army with Ottoman permission, marched south and conquered the Galilee. They were held up at Akko which they besieged for 14 months after which they gave up and retreated to Damascus.

History of the Jews in Ireal

Again, from the same link you didn't read the first time. You're wrong, and have been proven wrong in numerous post in this thread. Now, STFU please.

I'm done with this debate.

Alright. Fair enough. So, not so cozy 350 years ago.

I wonder if the Turks gave the Arabs Apache helicopters to help massacre the Israeli extremists.

Nope, wrong again. It was knives and swords. You don't know anything about history in the Middle East, do you? Everyone knows a Turk will throw a gun to the curb and run you through with a 30" blade. Either that or they would cut your head...clean off. The Turks are well known throughout history as some of the most bloodthirsty sumbitches ever. Thats the main reason why no one fargs with them.

Igy's Hassan Chop Bugs Bunny cartoons had one thing right.

I thought I did, but now you're telling me they didn't have helicopters and stuff 350 years ago? Shows what I know.

Boy, those Israelis must have been Hoydas.

Is quoting really that hard?

it did take igy about 6 or 7 months to get on board with it.

As the impeachment trial unfolds, does anyone else feel Gov Blago is getting the shaft?

It's called sarcasm. I guess I'm not as good at it as you are being stupid.

Wait till the the rest of the tapes come out in his criminal trial, this stuff that was released was stuff Fitzgerald didn't need.

Magical_Retard

So basically it comes down to...there have been wars, changes in regimes, empires, religious rule, and endless bloodshed in the Middle East and especially in the "HOLY LAND"....

Isn't that true for the rest of the world? For all history? Of all mankind? Of all religions and races?

I still contend that saying something like "they have been fighting for thousands of years and will do so forever" is brushing the problem aside. Jews and Christians have been fighting forever also, up until 1948 in fact. I wish the US was never involved but since for the past 50 some odd years its been claiming its a mediator when in reality its been just Israel's daddy, responsibility falls on the US to bring about some solution. You can not just up and leave now.

Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

The US might have been showing interest all this time because it is the nation with the largest Jewish population. Maybe.

The man. The myth. The legend.
