I guess Gaither did no worse than McCoy.

Jason Short also got injured last night, so the white linebackers are falling off in chunks now.

Sean Considine in the next new problem. He can't tackle for shtein.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

Poor tackling is a widespread problem in the NFL now.  I watched several games on Sunday, and trust me, the Eagles aren't the only team whose defenders can't tackle worth a shtein.

The play where Michael Lewis busted his nose is a perfect example.  He got beat and rather than simply wrap up Steve Smith and get him down to the ground, he tried to knock the shtein out of him instead.  Result?  About 20 YAC for Smith.

Just awful.

Lewis can usually tackle (although too often goes for the big hit and doesn't wrap up) but can't cover.

Considine can cover a little but can't tackle for shtein.

Awesome choices.

Gaither had a nice play on 3rd down, other than that I can't recall much from him.

I saw Gaither make 2 or 3 decent plays. The one positive was on every running play he wasn't being pancaked by a TE. At least on his feet he's another obstacle the RB had to deal with.

QuoteGaither performed well, making five tackles. "It was great," he said. "It felt like a playoff atmosphere, and the best thing is that we came out of here with a win."

He also had another penalty last night too. One that pissed away good field position.

He's useless.

The BIGSTUD

All you have to do is see Gaither on the field on a defensive play and know he's an upgrade because whenever McCoy was on the field and they ran a play he was nowhere to be seen. Probably because he was on his ass blown up by a blocker.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Wait, I thought you wanted Gaither to fail, so you could keep blaming Heckert for the state of the team.
Anyone but Reid.

Gaither's INT and the one pass he swatted were 2 more plays in the passing game than the entire Eagles OLB corps had all year until then.  The kid's got some great instincts.

In other white boy losing his job news, I hope it was noted that Considine LAID CAMPBELL THE farg OUT on Mike Lewis's INT return.  That's teamwork as only a no talent white boy can play it.
