McDougle is straight from the streets, dawg.

ice grillin you

One of those things is not like the other... meaning I doubt they ever thought McDougle was a high-character guy.  They got a top prospect from a team that usually makes some good pros, despite their lack of character overall.  Yes, he's a bust, but he wasn't a "character" pickup like all the other guys you mentioned.

i never mentioned character...im talking about guys that are limited in talent...guys that cant make plays....not even saying gaither is some huge playmaker but compared to mccoy he is and they made the right albeit suprising move of replacing mccoy

mcdougle wasnt a huge playmaker in college...not sure why they thought hed be one in the pros

Well, the Bears drafted Michael Haynes from Penn State the pick before, and he's been a winner also.

Yes, they were set to draft 897th, but they traded Darwin Walker's thigh and a 4th to the Boston Braves.

Well, his ratio of times-shot to times-having-an-impact-on-the-field is so low that the voters HAD to assume that there was a reason he is employed.

"IT MUST BE HIS CHARACTER!"
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Eaglez

Yup. There's the reason he's still on the team.

10 tackles & 1 sack for OG today...

I believe the Eagles have found themselves a quality weakside linebacker.

I didn't think McCoy was playing bad but as of now I'd definitely take Gaither over him.

SD_Eagle5

McCoy is fine in the nickel, on 3rd downs, and on STs. He's not an every day LB, he gets run over too easy. Gaither is the answer. He has size and speed and makes plays.

Eaglez

The best part about Gaither is that he's smart and he is fundamental in tackling. On his sack he did fall for Eli's pump to the right and continued to stay on his feet and was very diligent in his pursuit. If Gaither isn't just showing flashes and his play remains consistent, the Eagles might have to only look for one OLB this off-season.

Dhani sucks. He should have been benched after that personal foul call.

QB Eagles

Gaither's been playing great, without question. He's exhibited a nice combination of consistent play and the ability to be a disruptive force. For a rookie, he's involved in a lot of activity out there. My only real problem with him all season has been when he's the 12th man on the field with the game on the line.

The BIGSTUD

I think Gaither has been playing well, but Mike Mayock who is a great football analyst and maybe the best out there said when breaking down tape Gaither has been playing very average. He said he hits the wrong holes a lot of the time and is out of position often. He said the average fan might think he is playing well, because it is stuff you don't notice unless you break down the tape.

I disagree but he has a right to his own opinion.
