I took a large poop today and I'm pretty sure I dropped a pound and a half...so...I'm down to 200lbs.  :yay

Ha! I'd like to think I'd get down to 200 again. I still lift, but don't really do any excercise other than work. Got on the scales the other day and my eyes bugged out when I looked down and saw 243. 20 of which I have no doubt is beer gut. I know it's bad for me, but I love draft beer.

How the farg can anyone eat 450 grams of carbohydrates in a day (3x body weight as is recommended by most "experts" for muscle building)?  Seriously even raisin bran cereal only has 50 grams of carbohydrates.

Ran my 10k this past weekend. It went well but 3 months of constant 3-6 mile runs has completely farged my joints. My knees, ankles and hips all feel like shtein. I'm thinking about switching to swimming to go easy on my knees since my gym has two pools. Anyone here swim? I swam as a kid and was pretty good at it but I haven't used those muscles in 15+ years and I'm wondering how long its going to take me to get back into it...
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

i swam competitively in high school and got heavy into combat swimming my first few years in the corps but haven't kept up as much over the last 10 yrs.  i still get in the pool on a semi-regular basis and usually hurt afterwards.  so you definitely are going to want to start off light and work your way back into it.  anything more than a few "casual" laps starting out will turn every muscle in your body into jello.
