2006 QB sacks = 23 (so far)

Cowboys - 12 sacks
taterskins - 7 sacks
Giants - 5 sacks
Total - 24

The Eagles almost have as many sacks as the entire NFC East combined.

Uh duh not even close if you add Philly's sacks in there  ::)

James Thrash = starter on an NFC powerhouse.
Sam Rayburn = inactive on a team that just went 6-10.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Cole is the real deal.  As long as he's healthy, he needs to be on the field 3 downs.  He'll need a break once in a while like anyone, but he's a bona fide starter.  As good as anyone else has been, this guy is putting the biggest smiles on my face so far this season.

Usually when Rayburn is inactive, he still hangs around the sideline. I didn't notice him this past game, but I'm pretty sure he was around.

There's a clip of the last 2 minutes of the game, and I'm pretty sure, after Lito's INT return, they pan the sideline and Rayburn is there.

i heard JJ abandoned the two team rotation during the game and went with the first team more often

i watched it again yesterday and jj did go more with the first four....have a feeling it was simply because howard and cole were so ridiculous....howard played the game of his life and because of that it over shadowed how good cole was...especially against the run...he mos def is much more than a pass rusher

Yup... Cole made plays in 2 of 3rd and short situations off the top of my head.  He had a monster game.  I have much confidence in Killa Cole.

They are being set up to have another good week this week too. If they can stop Deuce & Reggie and force Brees to pass it the Saints interior OL is weak.

Their center is that 290lb weakling Jeff Faine (dudes got a huge head - I think that weighs 70lbs alone) and the OGs are not very good.

Jammal Brown is the LT - he's pretty good but still kind of raw.

I know it's been said before but J.J. defiantly deserves a game ball for his schemes against Dallas.

Cole seamlessly stepped in for Kearse. Having Kearse in the line no doubt would have made this line more dominant with the year he was seemingly going to have, but with Cole getting more reps I don't think we'll see much of a drop off. Juqua Thomas has seen a resurgence this year and is great in the limited role he has been seeing. Juqua is our next Kalu however Juqua can hold his own against the run while ND was simply a pass rushing end.

I was worried when Kearse went down about the vitality of the line, but really, I don't think they lost a step. The unit is just simply solid straight across the line.

And Slammin' Sammy is done. He was beat out with a rookie and that rookie is seeing significant time in the rotation. I really like Ramsey and I think he's been a pleasant surprise along the line. Arguably he's playing much better than Bunkley.

After seeing this d line for 5 games now I am absolutely convinced that Darren Howard is the main catalyst in their performance.  I'm also convinced that Howard was the main reason why Kearse got off to such a fast start this year before going down.  Offenses are going to have to game plan for him which is something that we haven't had on this d line in years......maybe Hugh in his prime but I'm thinking back to Reggie's days here.  And if teams start game planning their blocking schemes on Howard then that's going to open up things for the rest of the line even more.

I'm thinking the new D-Line coach also deserves a great deal of the credit.

The new d-line deserves a lot of the credit. These aren't exactly no-name guys out there, except for McDougle.

The man. The myth. The legend.

MURP

-  Cole has an amazing desire to go all out when he is on the field.  He is relentless when going after the QB.  Keeping him fresh does wonders.

- Darwin Walker is much improved over last year.  His play is a big reason why the line is better.  Id like to think that the drafting of Bunkley really lit a fire in him.   He is usually one of the faster guys on the Dline off the ball this year.   His swim move is also working well.

- Howard is ridiculously fast off the ball when lined up at DT.  He is easily one of the best FA pickups for any team in the offseason.

- Mike Patterson is improving.  He gets doubled a lot which frees up some of the other guys.

- Bunkley seems to either destroy somebody or get destroyed.   He is raw no doubt.

- Juqua Thomas also has a non stop motor.  He doesnt have the athletic abilities of Cole (unless you see that pic of him jumping),  but he has the desire.  He impresses me.

You have to like the production of Ramsey so far as well. No bad for a 7th round choice.
