Let's recap the 3rd QTR. Eagles have 2 or 3, 3 and outs. 

they had two drives in the 3rd quarter.  both were three and outs.  two plays were runs, four were passes.  the rest of the quarter was taken up by the Niners driving on the defense.

so, if that ruins the rest of the game for you, that's your problem not mine.

I thought that most of the 3rd quarter was taken up by Patterson's fumble return.

If you watch the end of that run, roughly 2 hours after it starts, you can see Bunkley put a nice move on a completely blocked Smith at the 5.

By the way, I just timed it... it took Patterson about 13 seconds to rumble down the field.  Not bad, actually.

Better than Ngata a couple weeks back.

Team Patterson would like to remind you that Corey Simon would have had a massive coronary before he got to the 49ers 35-yard line if he were the one recovering the fumble, which he also wouldn't have done, because he doesn't play to the whistle and give 110%.  Patterson is teh man.  Go Patterson.

I don't think that necessarily helps Team Patterson's case. That scenario you presented might be the one thing possibly more entertaining than Patterson's rumble down the field.

Something else worth noting: Jerome McDougle managed to play without blowing out his knee, getting shot, or getting stabbed by a stingray. I even saw him on the screen doing positive football things a couple times.
