The most pathetic thing about that play is that only the QB even pretended to give a crap.

Get it right.  It's not as much that we don't care - it's more like we'd rather get our balls cut off by a 14-year-old psycho broad with only ice to numb the pain than be friends with an utter waste of life like him.
