A few things...

The 1st team offense looked alright. I was hoping for much more from the WR's.

The team just isn't the same without Westbrook out there.

The 1st team defense looked pretty pedestrian. They did a good job keeping the Ravens off the board but it's pretty clear that Rayburn has no business starting. Get Bunkley in there with the 1's and see what he can do.

Buckhalter looked pretty average other than his big play. Nice to see him out there, of course, but expecting much from him is a huge stretch.

As for the second teamers, Juqua Thomas was a force out there. Bunkley looked good as well. Matt Ware looked great on one play and clueless on the next. What else is new? Lewis dropped a ball in traffic after taking a nice shot by a backup cornerback. Way to lay it on the line, scrub.

Detmer should not be on this team any longer. The pass he underthrew to Lewis was a joke. If he can't throw the ball more than 40 yards in the air, then what the hell is he still doing out there? Cut him loose and get a competent 3rd stringer. Anyone would be preferable to him at this point.

Gaither looked good to me. I loved his special teams hit even though he left the line early. Who cares, though? He got noticed and that's what he's out there for.

Moats looked like shtein. I know he's playing with the 2's but still, pee-you.

Karate Man looked good as did Diggler.

In short, a miserable night of preseason drudgery.

PS: The ETN crew is an absolute joke. The pbp idiot constantly referring to Spadaro as "spuds" is enough to make me want to jam a lit stick of dynamite in his mouth. Jaworski is annoying as usual and the camera work was atrocious.

An embarrassment of epic proportions out there.
