According to Andrea Kremer of NBC Sports, Dawkins has agreed in principle to a 2 year contract extension and will sign the agreement on Monday.

No link as of yet.  I'll post it when it becomes available.

Yep - $2M signing bonus was reported.  That seems way low to me, but hey, what do I know?

That's a helluva hometown discount if Dawkins accepted it.

Nice.  This is a great signing for the Eagles, Dawk, and the fans.

Man if that is what they signed him to they should almost be ashamed of themselves, they couldn't have given this guy a little more money upfront, it isn't like they don't have the cap room this year.  He deserves more.

I am extremely happy that he has an extension, but I think it is bullshtein they couldn't give this guy a little more.  He has never been anything but a complete professional for this team.

Man, I agree with you 110%. A 2 mil signing bonus!?!? I would have thought it would have been 5 mil, especially with paying him what, 3 mil a year? That's a steal.

I'm happy as anything he will be here the next two years, but damn. I guess he wants to be an Eagle until he hangs it up for good. You have to love the guy for that.

I can't believe it until I see it confirmed. I hope it's true though. Since Bentley, I'm a tad skeptical.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
