Just started watching Homeland. Pretty good so far.

Holy shtein newsroom destroyed MA tonight

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I just finished the first season of that the other night. I liked it, but didn't love it. I think it would have been better as a miniseries or a one-season arc. The way they set up the second season felt sort of force-fit to me. I walked away thinking that it was pretty good, but it started out better than that.

ice grillin you

last year i watched the first three episodes of breaking bad and just couldnt get into it...just recently tried again and am now on s2 ep3 and i just dont understand the perceived greatness of the show by people

theres way to much belief suspension involved....are we really supposed to believe that one day the guy is a bumbling meek introvert and the next he is firebombing a drug kingpins headquarters...its so silly....maybe if it was a superhero movie it would work but its just so ridiculous

other than the brother in law not one single good character so far...wife and sister are beyond annoying...scenes that are supposed to be dramatic end up being unintentionally funny

i dont think the show sucks or anything and i can probably finish it but holy shtein is it overhyped
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

i don't think you've gotten to saul (the lawyer) yet, but he's great.  the drug kingpin in season 3 is ridiculous along with his muscle, both great characters.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

ice grillin you

better than levy?

no i havent gotten to any of that....but i hope the drug kingpin is better than taco...what an over the top cartoonish pos he was

another thing that cracks me up about the show is how in one scene the guy with cancer cant get out of bed and walk to the bathroom without coughing up blood and the next scene he is carl lewising it thru the hot ass desert with little trouble whuile in the middle of chemo treatments

also when he blew up tacos spot the entire place went murrah building...in fact my first thought was damn that wa a pretty dope explosion for a tv show....next i think how the farg does he get out of THAT and live...yet the next scene is everyone in the room wiping a little dust off their shirt and finishing their meeting...that was just outrageous

Suspension of disbelief is THE key component to TV/Movies/anything based on fiction. If your problem with a tv show is that you need to suspend your disbelief you should probably not watch TV.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I was under the impression it was just one season [12 episodes]. At least that's what my room mate told me. When he starts praying to Allah in the second episode was freakin creepy.

i generally dont watch tv

unbelievable stories obviously have their place...but if you are gonna go there then go all the way...know who you are...but i feel like breaking bad is trying to be this deep meaning of life reality based drama...or maybe the problem is thats what i thought it was gonna be going in because of  reading peoples reviews of it...either way it completely fails in that respect...you can have it both ways

DH

Im on S2 Episode 5 now, been watching since last week...I like it, but I agree some of the characters are a bit shaky. I actually hate Hank and his wife and think  the whole stealing of the tiara thing was odd (not sure how it all fit in), but whatever. The guy who plays Jesse is awesome, though.

agreed on the whole shoplifting storyline....unless somehow it ties in later i dont get it at all...its boring and serves no purpose

is hank the brother in law?....he cracks me up in a cartoonish way...hes the only character that does anything for me

i think my expectations were just way over the top for the show as people have raved about it to no end...i cant recall the name of it but to me its on a level with something like that cop show with michael chikilis

It's supposed to come back in September for Season 2. Personally, I think they could have had a kick ass season 1 instead of a pretty good season 1 if they weren't worried about coming back for Season 2.

General_Failure

Early on with Breaking Bad I don't think you're supposed to find either of the wives likable. I'm not sure you're ever supposed to find them likable. Maybe sympathize with them later, but that's about it.

The man. The myth. The legend.

SunMo

skylar is maybe the biggest c-unit ever on tv and their son is annoying.

walt, saul, hank, mike, and gus are great characters
