Rome

I forgot Lost too.

Gone in the blink of an eye.  POOF!

Sgt PSN

Gotta have really strong characters to be successful....like a Captain Kirk type character or it probably won't work on network tv.

Yeah, they never last.

The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The X-Files, several Star Trek series, Battlestar Galactica twice and one spinoff, Dr. Who twice,  the Stargate series and two spinoffs, Babylon 5... all passed with barely any notice.

The man. The myth. The legend.

You forgot the most epic show of all time....a sci fi show that dared to cross over into the sit com realm.  Small Wonder.

General_Failure

If you're going to mention Small Wonder, you might as well bring in Mork & Mindy and ALF.

The man. The myth. The legend.

ice grillin you

and what was that show about the family of aliens that had joseph gordon levitt in it?
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

Third Rock from the Sun. Also, let's add the Harry and the Hendersons and RoboCop series', along with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the spinoff Angel, and I guess Smallville.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Sgt PSN

Hercules and Zena had decent runs despite being terrible.  But I don't think they were ever prime time shows.

Sgt PSN

Only IGY would associate 3rd Rock from the Sun with any actor other than John Lithgow.

JGL is arguably the best young actor in the world right now...probably second to ryan gosling

True or not, associating him with 3rd Rock over Lithgow is like associating Cheers with Woody Harrelson.

ice grillin you

well ive never seen a single episode of the show and honestly forgot lithgow was in it...the only thing i associate with it is that its where JGL got his start and its always amazed me that an actor that good could have started on a show that friggin bad

Well, it was a sci-fi show, which made it automatically awful and unwatchable.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Munson

JGL got his start telling a black man how to run his baseball team because he saw invisible beings from heaven rubbing Tony Danza's shoulders.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Munson

And, according to IMDb, he played the very important role of Boy #1 in a 1990 episode of Murder, She Wrote
