GoT is working off of source material.  Books 2 and 3 are better than 1, so as long as they stick to that, it should be pretty sick if you liked season 1.

Season 2 is looking spiffy from all accounts so far. Should get a couple of good battles in it also.
Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

I thought Deadliest Warrior ran its course after the first season.
Right now they are doing Vampires v Zombies.  Time to stop.

General_Failure

Funny thing is, Deadliest Warrior started off with animals. They would make molds of their jaws, tusks, claws, and whatever, make them out of metal, and then show how much damage the animal would actually do. That would go on for 45 minutes, and then there'd be 5 minutes of the animals fighting it out in CGI glory.

breaking bad might be having its best season yet.

the fight last week was pretty great.

odds on gus staying alive for the season? i say 50-50.

Sgt PSN

Way to go out on a limb with that prediction

So Simon Cowell left American Idol so he could do basically the same show on Fox that has a name that would have been en vogue about 15 years ago.  And he brought Paula Abdul's crazy ass with him, along with a skinny Randy Jackson.

Also just saw a commercial for some sort of Jurassic Park tv show.

MDS

its called terra nova and its been in production for like 3 years

basically its the future and the world is awful so they travel back in time and live with dinosaurs. according to sarah palin this was a couple hundred years ago.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

General_Failure

Any show on FOX that looks remotely interesting won't finish a full season.

Rome

Substitute dinosaurs for the Na'vi and Terra Nova = Avatar.

I'll watch because I like Sci-Fi anyway, but still... not exactly breaking new ground here.

Sgt PSN

I knew nothing about the show until the little guy explained it, so it sounds interesting enough.  I like sci fi too, but am a little skeptical since they never seem to last on tv.

MDS

they never last on tv because they suck and there isnt an audience for them

you god damn nerds never learn. get over firefly being canceled.

Munson

Yeah, it doesn't even have an entire channel dedicated to the genre it's audience is so small....oh wait...

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Rome

Yeah, they never last.

The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The X-Files, several Star Trek series, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who,  the Stargate series, Babylon 5... all passed with barely any notice.
