HBO wants to do six seasons based on the book American Gods.

Got potential, the book was excellent

I don't know how they plan to get six seasons out of that. Maybe if they do two seasons on Anansi Boys.

True, one 300 page book is a bit too little to stretch over say 72 episodes.  Maybe it'll be like The Walking Dead, and only 6 episodes a season.

I was watching the Today show a few minutes ago and it got preempted by the Casey Anthony trial.

I sent the NBC affiliate this e-mail:

I am sick of seeing the Casey Anthony fiasco on your station.  It's bad enough the public is being force-fed this disgraceful story during your news programs, but now you've taken to preempting network programs in favor of this garbage.  STOP IT.  No one but shut-in freaks and news organizations care about this nauseating disaster of a story.

I expect the Today Show to reappear momentarily.

Yeah, I don't understand this at all.  It is a great book, one of my favorite fiction books of all time actually, but that seems like a recipe for a drawn-out, boring TV show.

Exactly.  She looked spectacular this morning.  Skirt was a little long for me, but otherwise, stalkerrific!

the episode before last with the missing son was an absolute abortion and the last one's twist is so ridiculous that i don't really care what happens at this point

that richmond killed her...it feels like they led you down all these different roads and then they just picked the one guy who they hadn't clued you into yet

im not saying i knew he did it (if he did it) but i feel like he was a definite possiblility ever since they showed that photo of him and rosie a few episodes ago at that rally or whatever it was

i also dont know that hes going to be the killer...i think that weasley sidekick of his may have done it...i also think they could go way off the map at the last second and put it on someone else...maybe the campaign contributor?

yeah, possibly.  i mean, he was in the show the whole time for a reason, so i shouldn't be surprised i just felt it was cheap.  maybe i was jaded by the lost kid episode, that one really pissed me off.

yeah that was brutal....how do you have a one season storyline and take up an entire episode that basically only serves to give background information

yeah, it wasn't like they advanced the case at all except for the last two minutes.  lil guy talked about this before with other AMC shows, i think they do one episode a season of something like this to keep costs down.

it makes a little more sense now that its been renewed but they didnt know that at the time it was filmed and it still was terrible
