that was a standalone miniseries that was a clear misfire

rubicon was insanely boring

but as of now mad men, breaking bad and the walking dead are all top 10 shows...they are like 3/4 with 3 homers a routine groundout (rubicon) and a walk (prisoner...free pass since its a miniseries)

Never caught Rubicon.. and I just started getting into Mad Men and Breaking Bad... I watched half an episode of prisoner and got bored and called it a night.

The BIGSTUD

I thought this episode wasn't as good as the pilot though. I have no interest in any of the token people that were on the building. Oh, and that racist guy was thrown in just for the sake of creating drama and a stereotypical southern hick angle.

But overall the first episode was a lot more suspenseful. I hope it's slower and more suspenseful throughout.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Conan returns TONIGHT!

I'm likin' The Walking Dead. I remember watching Night of the Living Dead when I was a kid and gettin' the shtein scared outta' me. I watched most all the Zombie movies since, but never liked them as much, or got the shock factor watching any of them like I did watching that first one. But I like the idea of a ongoing story involving people livin' in a world full of zombies. Makes for some really entertaining TV.

By the way, George Romero, Hollywoods king of the Zombie movie, has them using things to beat on stuff trying to get into werever they're trying to get into. Even shows it in Night of the Living Dead's trailer.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Yeah I know I know. Like I said, the Brooks books seem to be the most "logical" about what a zombie could actually do, but in the end it's a waste of time to compare because different folks will have different rules for their zombies, that's just how it is. Doesn't really take away from the series at all, at least not yet. Now if it starts get ridiculous and zombies start driving cars and shtein, then I'm out. But I doubt this goes that direction.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Don Ho

Anyone catch Conan?  Only saw the monologue.  Pretty weak.

I turned on my tv to watch it, and my damned receiver wasn't working. Woe is me.

I enjoyed it.  It was a little more subdued and mello than I was expecting but overall, it was pretty much the same old Conan.  The only real drawback for me was having that chick from Glee on.  Really?  First show and you want to put someone from Glee on?  And she wasn't the least bit entertaining either.....much like the show.  I liked the rip job on NBC, thought Seth Rogan was a great first interview and the performance with Jack White was really good too.

SunMo

she may not be entertaining, but she's hot as farg

There's plenty of hot women out there who can give an entertaining interview for 3 minutes.  She was not one of them.  Hell, if they were going to have someone off of Glee, they should have had the older, blonde lady....don't know her real name or character name on the show, but I've seen her in other shows and movies and she's pretty funny.  Not much to look at, but funny.
