My wife watches 5-0. I can't stand it. It's like an 80's throwback, but not in a good way. The writing and the acting are terrible. More than anything, I think that I'm not at all into self-contained hour episodes anymore...they're way too predictable, cliche and boring.

Must be a chick thing.  My wife watched it for the first time last night.  I've been bashing it since the series premier.  She said "It's not that bad.". Grace Park is hot but CBS needs to send her to acting class asap.  I am actually starting to appreciate the Dan-O character.  Whatever his name is, James Caans son, he is pretty good.

Only highlight last night was Braddah Iz interlude at the end.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

Rome

I had to explain Da Hui to the wife & kid.

Kooks.

:D

And by the way... has anyone else seen the Conan commercial where he's washing his desk with Pour Some Sugar On Me playing over it?

I can't decide whether it's the worst thing I've ever seen or the best.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Well, whichever it is... it's SECOND worst or SECOND best in all-time Def Leppard choreographic history.

Tweeder from Varsity Blues? Had no idea he was Caan's son, but now that you say it it's extremely easy to see.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

PoopyfaceMcGee

Yeah, I didn't know Scott Caan was Jimmy Caan's son either.

Munson

I didn't know his name was Scott Caan, never really cared that much.

Damn... I didn't see this and I can't watch it from work.

The Walking Dead premiers on AMC Sunday. Looks like it'll be pretty good.
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

SD

Excited...but only 6 episodes? Kind of weak.

The previews look good.

It will no doubt be picked up for a 2nd season. AMC said future seasons will be 13 eps

quality not quantity, young jedi

network dramas suck for many reasons, one being they rush to produce 22.

do 6-13 eps right instead of doing 22 that maybe 4 or 5 out of wind up being worthwhile
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
