Worse was Friday Night Lights was down again because of that dreaded Idol garbage. Right now, I'd rate it behind The Wire on the best shows of the year list.

I have every episode on Tivo of FNL, Figured i'd get into it once tv's offseason comes.  When is that MDS?

Technically, end of may. But Entourage, Always Sunny and some others will be rolled out over the summer.

The next two months are going to be down times for TV, save for fox monday and Lost. Most shows will be going to repeats. I highly, highly suggest you check out FNL. Kyle Chandler's performence literally rivals anything else on broadcast TV (yea, Kyle farging Chandler).

As for The Wire, some news:
10 episodes for the 5th season
Clark Johnson from Homicide will play some editor
Simon and Burns will be going back and forth from Africa (to film to Iraq miniseries) and Baltimore, so their input wont be as strong as in the past
Filming starts in a few weeks....probably set for January air date
