The stupidity of the judge and everyone joking about this being a lucky break would never happen.  Plus it's hardly a "lucky" break unless you get paid.  Someone like Stone's character would have plenty of experience for this too.

Otherwise it was good.  Not as good as ep1 but I enjoyed it.

My wife said it was too slow, but I reminded her that this one was about character development and building the overall mood. The cinematic choices in this show - primarily with the framing - are really intriguing me.

i don't think you will see any/much character development in this show...its only 8 eps....i think its going to be about institutions...mostly the american prison and justice systems

similar to how show me a hero was about inner city political dysfunction and housing

new eps of making a murderer are coming

i dont know when but theyre happening
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Didn't exactly seem like they needed any more of the same case unless something new developed.  Kinda thought they were running out of steam towards the end as is.

It's not about a whole cast of characters, but there is some good character stuff going on with Jack Stone. Some of his home life, and his relationship with the judge and the system. There has to be more coming that is above and beyond the main story arc.

I agree there may be an additional plotline thrown in i just don't see much if any character development happening....its really hard to do in 8 eps...shtein the wire was universally lauded for the amount of charcter development it was able to get into 12 eps

I think this show is going to be about rikers and then the trial of a brown person who killed a white girl...not about characters

Maybe. It'll be interesting to see what direction they take it. Heck, if Turturro is compelling enough, he might be able to pull off a lead in a spin off.

I liked it but the competing lawyer subplot is dumb

I'm assuming the emphasis on the cat by that door is going to be relevant for the way the killer came in?

MDS

i thought it was great....not as good a ep1 but better than ep2

the narrative structure is a tad slow, so im not sure how they get to trial by the end unless theres a massive jump or, well, they dont

ballers was even dumber if thats even possible. i have minimal brain cells as it is i dont know why i waste it on this POS. vice principals is a still uneven but holding my attention
