the thing that sucks with leno is that he just has the worst delivery of any comedian i've ever seen.  he's terrible.  but at the same time, i find many aspects of the show to be very entertaining as long as leno doesn't have a lot of verbage to add. 

his show was basically the tonight show with a couple of lame segments thrown in there. igy's boy tom shayles, who is a massive egomaniacal dick, said that leno purposely made his show bad so it would tank which would cause conan tank which would lead him to get 1130 back.

that wouldnt shock me. leno is a snake and a weasel. read the late shift, or see the movie. hes a pathetic, weak person masked by being really pleasant to everyone all the time. farg him and farg his grotesque chin.

i remember getting real into southland until it went on break after that cop got shot.. its a real good show.  i hope it gets extended, i need a dark cop show since the shield is gone now.  leno sucks.  conan is god.  gogo sexy manatees'.  i'm currently d/ling season 1 of entourage for my iphone and triumphant return to classes.  i've heard all the hype now i guess i'll see if it lives up to it.

this has another movie to be written about the changeover of the latenight show to happen again.  Southland imo was a good show, not great, but it got me interested, and they really did a great job developing characters by the time the first hiatus hit.  From everything i've read, TNT is completely willing to let them go the full tilt on dark story's and wants it more or less.  They can only benefit from this deal. 

that sounds good to me. I can't wait to see the characters develop. There seems to be great backstories on all of them so far.

i'll pass on getting all the behind the scenes dirt on leno.  don't care what he's really like off camera.  all i know is dude is the least humorous person on earth.  even munson could host that show and do better.  not much better.  but still better.

i watch conan..... especially since he moved up to the 1130 slot.  not as much when he came on at 1230.

i grew up watching letterman and then mostly conan all throughout high school.  haven't watched regularly in like 10 years but if it's late and i'm not doing anything conan is the best thing on tv.  it's pretty amazing actually the amount of support that conan is getting not only from the public but from people on the inside.  it's making leno look like even more of a douche and i wouldn't be surprised if a lot of celebs don't do his show.

Conan's doing a great job of torching NBC on his way out. He would probably work best on Comedy Central, but I don't think they'd want to screw with what they've got already.

i'd be surprised if any celebs stopped doing his show.  no celeb in their right mind is going to pass up the chance to get infront of a nat'l tv audience for a few minutes, especially if it involves them plugging a new movie, album, tv show, etc.

the problem though is that i don't know if comedy central has the cash flow to pay conan.  i know that they've come a long way in the last 10 years and are hanging with the big boys but most of their original programming seems to be relatively low budget.  i assume that's for a reason.

no, i don't t think there's anyway conan would do it.  at least not unless comedy central was going to give him keys to their vault....which is probably smaller than conan's vault anyway. 

the thing that really sucks about it for conan is dude just uprooted  his family and moved them out to hollywood for that crap. 

at the same time though, i'm thinking that something must be going on behind the scenes with all of this because conan is trashing nbc during the show, but the show is filmed a few hours before it actually airs.  so nbc could easily edit out his comments or they could just scratch the whole show and throw on a re-run.  i just can't see nbc allowing him to go out there and trash them unless it was already approved.  and why would they approve it unless there was already some sort of plan in place to take care of conan?
