Agreed, they're finally getting back to him. His connection to the island and background story are making the show.

Friday Night Lights > Lost
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome's ending was the best episode of the entire series, and this season was the single best season in TV history. Blows any season of The Wire out of the water. Sorry, Wire fanboys, but it does.

Almost cried.

**episode spoilers for those that didn't see yet**

I like how they left the Vorenus thing open-ended. You assume the worst, but they didn't actually show it, and Pullo did lie to Octavian after all. Maybe Vorenus did survive. Otherwise, wouldn't they have shown arguably the main character of the show die? I assume he did, but it is cool that they left it open-ended.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

rome, as always, was great.

mds or one of you other tv geeks....what does hbo have planned once the sopranos runs it's course?  is deadwood finished too?
no rome, no deadwood, no sopranos, no reason to pay for hbo.
lemonade was a popular drink and it still is

SunMo

i never got into entourage or the wire...just rome, deadwood, & the sopranos.
oh, and i was one of the 15 people who stuck with carnivale...but they screwed me by cancelling it mid-story.

I know they are adapting George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire fantasy series, but I can't imagine that it will be ready for another year or two.

Planet Earth - 11 part series on Discovery started last night with 3 episodes. Pretty awesome how they filmed part of it. Some animals they showed were never captured on film before. Bad ass  :yay

Diomedes

I read that the UK/BBC version is far better than the Planet Earth Discovery one because it has more material and it's not narrated by Weaver (who apparently totally overdoes all the "and for the first time ever on film" breathlessness)..

mussa

haha, yea me and my girl were laughing at that. more material? thats freakin lame, why would it be any diff? either way it was damn cool
