Another decent showing from The Black Donnellys last night. I'm thinking that it'll be like the Sopranos, in that there will be constant threat of major war breaking out...and it never does.

except there won't be any titties or cursing.  which takes away a lot of the realism.

i did see about five minutes of it last night and came to the conclusion that every single drama on tv that deals with criminals has at least one actor from Oz or the Wire.  mostly Oz though, those guys are everywhere.

ice grillin you

and they all got their first break on law and order
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Seabiscuit36

Same goes for The Wire actors and even Rome.  Its crazy how many of them portray characters on any of the Law and Order/CSI/Without a Trace/Cold Case series

not officially yet, but its done. the ratings suck and it costs 3 million per episode to make. but since the donnellys are eating more ass of the heroes/deal lead in that studio 60 was, its possible it could return sooner or later.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I thought you said "Donnelly's" was doing better than "60".

not after last night

probably because "Heroes" was a rerun

Father Demon

I kinda dig Black Don's, but I don't think it's enough for me to make a commitment.  I may stop watching after 1 or 2 more weeks...
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

MDS

They had an even bigger, allbeit different, lead in from Deal or no Deal (America is stupid) and lost over half of it.

Comparing Studio 60 to TBD has some give and take. 60's overall viewership is higher (factoring in the tivo/dvr users who watch it later) and they have a wealthier audeince. Donnellys skewers younger and does better in itunes sales (last weeks episode is #7 on the current top 10, they havent put up yesterdays yet). Needless to say, both aren't doing much of anything. TBD has a better shot at second season simply because it only had two weeks post-Heroes and is cheaper to produce. But it's not getting it.

Hello, Mrs. Malaprop. Nice to see you again.

Rome

"Jericho" was excellent last night.  The usual nauseating personal relationship crap had to be ignored but a major plot twist occured regarding Hawkins that although wasn't exactly shocking it was still entertaining.

I guess that's the best that can be said for that show now.  It's predictable and sappy but for some reason it just keeps pulling me back every week.
