just because he likes the UDFA story that lewis is doesnt mean lewis is any good...the only advantage lewis has over anyone is the fact that hes been in the offense longer...but just about any wr can do what he does and theres tons that can do it better

and we are talking about the fourth or fifth wr here....is the position really that important...its not a spot thats gonna win or lose you games...whereas KR can be...even if bethel were to be a slight downgrade at (the 4/5) wr id rather have him there over lewis if it meant a big upgrade at the KR spot

my point remains the same theres plenty of room for both bethel and bloom to make the team...but as i also said they have to prove themselves worthy to do so

Agreed.  Lewis is actually a serviceable reserve WR and a guy McNabb has some connection with - I don't think Bloom or Johnson have as much of a shot at playing that role.

That said... how much will Lewis really play if Reid wants to see more of Baskett and Avant?

I hate this stat. He's a farging receiver. If a large portion of his catches AREN'T first downs, he's got to suck some serious ass.

Keep Lewis, he found his niche last season coming in the second half of games to provide a spark. Bloom makes the team as a PR/WR, Johnson gets cut. Simple as that.

Lewis is one of the 5 best WRs on the team. Wouldn't it make more sense to keep 5 WRs and 1 PR? Or would you rather have them keep 4 WRs and 2 PRs?

but i fully admit  thats probably not going to happen...all i was saying is there is def room for johnson and bloom if they play themselves onto the team
