has anybody made those same set of WRs look good? b4 they were on the eagles or after they were on the eagles?

it not so clear cut as mcnabb has to make mediocre WRs look good...it goes both way....McNabb isnt great enough to make average WRs into good reliable WRs and the WRs we have were nowhere even near good or helped in thier own right. if the WRs cant beat bump and run and are getting bullied by the corners...there is lil McNabb can do.

Yeah right McNabb has to make sure they run their routes, fight through the jam and catch the damn ball. Maybe he should make sure Pinky hits the gym this year...

I'm not buying what your selling. It is a false premise.

That's OK. It seems to have made for some sort of discussion in the Eagles section.

Just because I'm bored...

In the last seven years how many championships were won from the QB position....

1999 - St. Louis Rams
2000 - Baltimore Ravens
2001 - New England Patriots
2002 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2003 - New England Patriots
2004 - New England Patriots
2005 - Pittsburgh Steelers

I'd argue maybe 1999 because that offense was all about the pass but Kurt Warner had some serious tools around him.

Baltimore = Defense and Ball control
New England = Well balanced all team consistent performance.
Tampa Bay = Baltimore
Steelers = Luck in one of the ugliest SBs ever.

Lesson? If the coaching staff of the Eagles thinks they are going to win a SB from the QB position current trends say no!

Well, even if they're banking on the QB, it sure would be nice of them to give him some more help.

I think of all the retired quaterbacks that have won a Super Bowl, only one is not in the Hall of Fame.  I'm not sure where this stands in this argument - just thought I'd put it out there.

Historically speaking teams win with strong QBs. The last 7 years look a little different. If Trent f'ing Dilfer and Brad Johnson can get a ring DMac certainly can with the right personel.

Exfreakingactly, how freaking basic can this be. No one player is taking a team to the SB. The QB needs a line that can protect and receivers that can catch. RB's need a line that opens holes. The offence needs the defence, the defence needs the offence. I am sick of the "McNabb has to step up for us to get in the playoffs" The whole team needs to step it up. That starts with Reid and goes to the last guy hanging on to a practice squad spot.
