fargin A right. If your gonna be pass happy then they should of pursued somebody other than babar gaffney. what we had randel el, moulds and just a average guy like JAVON fargIN WALKER.  Then they feel " confident" in their group of "guys".  "We're gonna balance the offense out alittle this year" Do we get another running back? NO...we get Buckhalter back...wow...pop...injury. farg i'll give barbaro a better chance of survival than buckhalters knees.  meanwhile the teams got the money, thats not an issue.  oh but as long as those "i bleed green" commercials are still running, then well i feel great about this year!

Well, even if they're banking on the QB, it sure would be nice of them to give him some more help.

Lesson? If the coaching staff of the Eagles thinks they are going to win a SB from the QB position current trends say no!

Historically speaking teams win with strong QBs. The last 7 years look a little different. If Trent f'ing Dilfer and Brad Johnson can get a ring DMac certainly can with the right personel.

two little facts that you overlook, those were two of the best defences...ever. and, gasp, they RAN the ball.

Exfreakingactly, how freaking basic can this be. No one player is taking a team to the SB. The QB needs a line that can protect and receivers that can catch. RB's need a line that opens holes. The offence needs the defence, the defence needs the offence. I am sick of the "McNabb has to step up for us to get in the playoffs" The whole team needs to step it up. That starts with Reid and goes to the last guy hanging on to a practice squad spot.

I'm in agreement with all of this...

Are you serious Mussa?

Randle El wouldnt even start. He isnt a good receiver. His value is on returns and trick plays. That's about it. Gaffney had better receiving stats then ARE last year. Would you seriously pay Randle El $30M +?

Moulds wasnt coming here.

The Eagles offered a second rounder for Walker. The Packers didnt want to trade him to an NFC team, and why would they. You want the Eagles to offer a 1st rounder? No.

lolz igy! u shud be a comedian?

Farging moron. It's fact about Randle El and Walker. The Eagles werent/havent shown they'd go after a 31 year old receiver that wants a new contract and would cost a 3rd or a 4th rounder that has been in the decline the past 3 years.

actually, they did show interest and they did try, but they failed, just like they failed on Walker, just like they failed on Bentley.

but hey, the Eagles do no wrong, you said so.

Randle El isnt a good receiver. Everyone knows that. I said it before he signed with the taterskins too. His value is as a returner and in trickplays.

I looked for 5 minutes about the Eagles offering a 2nd rounder and the Pack not wanting to trade him to an NFC team and couldnt find anything. It's not worth the time to try and find it. Im pretty sure its true, unless it was just a rumor or whatever. You cant believe half the stuff in the papers anyways. I dont really care.

Obviously the Packers would prefer to trade him to an AFC team, and even if the Eagles did offer pick 45, why would they take that over the Broncos' 37?

yeah, there's no way to make a better deal even though you have a lower 2nd round pick.  if only you were allowed to, say, offer ANOTHER pick with the 2nd.

All im saying is they tried. Maybe they felt like he was only worth a 2nd, even though I would have thrown in a 4th too.

Also, as far as me never ripping them, I said at the time I dont understand why they'd pick Avant over Brandon Marshall or Demetrius Williams. Marshall has a better chance of being a star, and Avant is way too much like Gaffney. Williams is the insurance for Pinkston, or we could just get rid of Pinkston all together in that case because Williams is the same player but not as rail thin. I've ripped them for not ponying up and just giving a 4th or 5th rounder for Lelie.
