Burrell was, I'm sure.  He's a team player with a great attitude.  Glad to have him aboard.

I suppose you would want Big Papi over Pujols then eh?

right now absolutely

but this is an irrelevant question you ask because pujols is good in the clutch where as burrell is an embarrassment

so with papi and pujols you actually can make an argument cause they are both great

howard vs burrell is not close as howard hits better than burrell pretty much across the board

Yea, I heard he would even change his position twice if the organization asked him to.  What a good guy.  O wait...

Agreed.

BTW guys anyone remember when that cancer Howard told the Phillies he would not play left field?

He doesnt care about the team.

Rome

Okay, now I'm confused.  What does OBP > BA mean in the context of this discussion?

He's clearly not coming through in the clutch and he's been getting pitches to hit all season long with Howard sitting behind him.

He can't play the field anymore, he's not the least bit aggressive at the plate during situations when he should be and still after almost seven years in the league chases pitches that someone of his ilk and experience should not.

Plus, he's injury prone and his attitude apparently sucks.

Yeah, I agree with IGY.  GIVE HIM A RAISE!!!!1111111111

PoopyfaceMcGee

I'd rather have a team full of Brett Myerses than a team full of Pat Burrells.

ice grillin you

now youre making up stuff as you realize how silly you have sounded

howard absolutely tried to play LF...in spring training he worked there for two years...and he sucked ass...the team knew they couldnt in good concience put him out there and then traded thome

I think Burrell should play catcher.

Rome

Please tell me he was being sarcastic with the Howard/LF thing...
