I'm surprised people still get angry when they lose, like this is new. I get angry when the Eagles do bad because they usually are successful. I even get angry when the Sixers do bad, because in the last 10 years, for the most part the Sixers have been a playoff team. Same with the Flyers. They contend for a Cup every year.

But the Phillies are destined to suck every year. As a fan I've been beaten down so badly by the awful management, and play, that it no longer even bothers me. If the Eagles go down 14-0 early I get nervous because I hate losing a game.

If the Phils go down 5-0 early, I just shut off the TV and move on.

So basically what my baseball passion has come down to is hating on teams like the Mets. Like how they will tank at the end of the year and how even if they make the playoffs will get swept by whoever. That's my passion. Looking forward to seeing teams fail, because I can't look forward to seeing mine win.

I agree to a certain extent, but when you lose for 13 years in a row, then to me it doesn't matter how it's done. Losing is just a daily routine, like brushing your teeth and showering.

Rome

6-1 now.

F'ing ridiculous.

Gillick has to do something to either shake this team up or tear it to pieces once and for all.

I vote the former, of course, but his hands are all but tied at this point in that regard.

Phils doing their "Hey, don't stop watching! We might be in this thing" routine in the bottom of the third. Bleh. 6-2.

I hate the farging Phillies.

IGY, while I am all for Manuel hitting the road, you are still, in a way, being fooled. You can't apply standard baseball logic to this team. If it seems that Manuel should be kicked to the curb, they'll give him an extension. Trash.

***Mets score again. They have scored in every inning in the game.

Luckily there's a good Stanley Cup Finals game to watch.  :boom

I was worried we wouldn't get an "official" game in...

Phils actually manufacture a run. Two sacs move Rowand home from second. 7-3 Mets in the bottom of the 6th.
