mets will get their 11-12 runs before this thing is all over

their lineup is scary good

Their lineup has nothing to do with their last 3 5 runs.  Shoddy defense is killing the Phils.

:boom :boom :boom :boom :boom

the mets mix of speed and power is absolutely perfect

Rome

This team is sickening.

Absolutely wretched.

They have the bases loaded with 1 out and get nothing out that then they turn around and give up five runs in the next half-inning.

Ridiculous.

MDS

1. ryan madson implodes
2. ryan howard cant field if his life depended on it
3. chase utley good old costly errors. everyone of his errors lead to huge innings and come at the worst possible time.
4. david bell has no range
5. david bell sucks
6. fatsano is old and slow and doesnt think about someone like reyes trying to take an extra base
7. fultz doesnt bother covering home

what a pathetic inning. this team is awful to watch and to root for.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I turned the channel.  Some things are too much for one to have to ordeal.

Right now I'm watching Schilling-Santana pitching due.  Red Sox and Twins 0-0 in the top of the 6th.

LBIggle

hopefully they'll be 10 out by july so i can stop watching them.

What a farging debacle. I ordered MLB TV by the month for this very reason. No reason to pay to watch these games. I won't be renewing that subscribtion at the end of the month. farging bums.

its impossible to win with the outfield corners they have on defense as it is...but whats really depressing is that their two young cornerstones of the future utley and howard are both atrocious in the field

They won't fall that far out.  They'll stay close enough to prolong the torture and agony as long as possible.

MDS

Blow it up. Trade Burrell and Abreu. As much as I like Abreu, you just need a change. Victorino at the top of the order playing left or something, get corner outfielder in return or maybe a 3B so you can get rid of Bell. Also the catching position is a joke, Fatsano is going to play everyday. This is just awful, he may be the worst player in all of baseball.

Rollins with two homers, though.  That's the power we've needed from our leadoff hitter all year!2

rollins has the same amount of homers as abreu...yet abreu refuses to move out of a power hole to bat leadoff

Phillies Stats of Suckage

Overall stats
-123 total seasons
-72 losing seasons
-3 .500 seasons
-48 winning seasons
-Overall postseason record: 22-35 (.386)

Streaks
-14 straight losing seasons (1918-1931) where the Phils went 786-1310 for a outstanding .375 winning percentage
-16 straight losing seasons(1933-1948) where the Phils went 888-2443 even more incredible .363 winning percentage
-For those keeping score, the Phils managed ONE winning season between 1918-1948!
-Current World Series drought: 25 seasons
-Phillies have accumulated 1 World Championship, 5 Pennants, and 9 Playoff Appearances in 123 seasons. Can you believe that? Basically the Phillies only had a chance to win a Championship 9 times out of 123 seasons!

For comparsion, the Florida Marlins (est. 1993) and Arizona Diamondbacks (est. 1998) and have won 3 World Championships, 3 Pennants and 5 Playoff Appearances between them in 21 seasons.

The Phillies are closing in on being the first professional team to reach 10,000 losses all time.
Below is the Phillies all time record.

Wins: 8712     Losses: 9909

Current as of 6/11/06

From PhillySucks.com. Every time I get burned by thinking the Phils may be heading somewhere, I make myself go back and read this. Especially the stuff in bold. farging, farging Bums.

Quit with that.

Pat Burrell just struck out looking for the second time tonight, with a runner on. Abreu K's before him, and finally Howard flies out. This team couldn't manufacture a run if their lives depended on it.

Send Burrell packing now. farging bum. I am so sick of watching his big dumb ass act all upset that the third strike was actually a ball, then sulking off to the dugout. Maddening.

Dump Abreu and Burrell, and get some solid prospects.
