Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Anyone ever get stopped for a state regulatory check? What a crock of shtein. I was on Knights road crossing over Street when traffic started to back up. I couldn't make a u turn because of oncoming traffic. They wave me into this lot with every other car where I'm asked to provide my license/proof of insurance/registration. I ask why and the officer says it's for a regulatory check. I ask what it is and why is my liberty being inconvenienced for no reason. He tells me some nonsense about his unit commander. After doing some research on the web it seems these types of bullshtein stops are becoming common. It was especially bad because A]The checks backed up traffic bad...to the point where cars couldn't travel on Street Road which is by far the busiest stretch of road in the area and B] it was at 5 o'clock, so people just worked a hard day and now they're being inconvenienced with some bullshtein.

So back to my story. I recently moved and updated my license but haven't updated my registration yet. My insurance card was also out of date. So I give the officer all 3 of these documents minus the license correction because the addresses match. So he gives me a little shtein about my expired insurance car and takes off with my information for 10 minutes while he supposedly is contacting my insurance company to make sure my information is valid. I knew he was full of shtein. He comes back and says everything checked out. A simple run of my drivers license would have revealed that the address on the license has been changed. So what a big waste of farging time.

The pigs are preparing for the coming revolution.  They're conditioning us little by little to accept shtein like this and we blindly and blissfully accept it without so much as a shrug.

I'm actually happy I'm older now because the older I get the less chance I'll have to have to put up with what's coming.

Stopping traffic on Street Rd at 5 pm? That's the greatest idea ever.

Same as the TSA bullshtein.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

News Corp to split into two companies.

QuoteLate Wednesday, News Corp.'s board approved the split, which calls for 20th Century Fox, the Fox network and Fox News Channel — long the real money-makers in the House of Murdoch — to become a stand-alone company. A second, much-smaller company will contain the newspapers, the HarperCollins publishing house and News Corp.'s education business.

I wrote a letter to my congressman and the unit commander of the police station that was conducting the search. I doubt it will do much good but maybe it'll piss them off.

Tomahawk

It could piss them enough for them to put you on a list

Sgt PSN

They'll be waiting for you on their next regulatory check.

Tomahawk

In ILL, they're called roadblocks and are mostly reserved for holiday weekends in order to catch the drunkards. As much as I hate the gestapo, i don't mind these since driving is a privelage, not a right

Your right not to be searched w/o probable cause doesn't end the second you get behind the wheel.

Or at least it shouldn't.
