i'm a total insomniac these days (drunk) for many different work and personal reasons, and i never thought i'd say this, but jimmy fallon has turned into one of the best late night guys on tv. he's still kind of a douche but he has some of the best skits on tv. also tonight i saw this this new freestyle rap contest with the audience and it wasn't horrible.

When you say "one of" that's kind of misleading since it's a pretty small group of people anyway.  Leno, Letterman, Conan, Ferguson, Kimmel and Fallon.  And maybe George Lopez....is he still a thing on tv or is that finally over?  So he's 1 out of 6 or 7.

Having said that, I actually agree.  I've been up late every night for the last week unpacking boxes and getting settled in and have the tv on in the background.  I've left whatever channel he's on a couple of nights so I've heard his schtick a few times this week, and yeah, it ain't bad.  Much better than the last time I saw his show which was probably 2 years ago.  His delivery still needs some work because sometimes he just talks too fast and mumbles to the point that it's hard to understand him.  I know that's kind of his thing and it was fine on SNL but not as much for late night TALK shows.  The writing on the show is pretty good though.  His "Thank You Letters" skit has probably been the best of what I've seen so far.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

In terms of late night, political satire I agree.

I swear that movie looked awesome when I was a kid.

The man. The myth. The legend.

jimmy fallon is for girls and Romes

that explains matty and sarge. ill let you decide which one is which.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

This should put all of us fat slobs to shame - with the possible exception of PG.

this is why you don't jump the counter at McDonald's

QuoteIn a scary confrontation filmed by a diner, a cashier at a McDonald's in Manhattan can be seen beating two female customers with a metal rod after the duo jumped the counter during a dispute early yesterday morning.

As seen in the above video, Rayon McIntosh, 31, repeatedly struck the women while they were on the ground behind the counter at the McDonald's, which is across from the famed West 4th Street basketball courts in Greenwich Village.

According to a felony criminal complaint filed against McIntosh, one woman suffered a "fractured skull requiring surgery" and a broken bone in her arm during the assault. The second woman suffered "substantial pain and a laceration," the complaint notes.

McIntosh is facing two felony assault counts and a criminal possession of a weapon charge. The women, who hurtled the counter during a dispute over their food order, have been hit with menacing, disorderly conduct, and trespass counts. One woman can be seen on the video slapping McIntosh in the face.

The criminal complaint, which was sworn by NYPD Officer Danielle Ambrecht, reports that a police review of McIntosh's rap sheet revealed that he "was previously convicted of Manslaughter." State prison records show that McIntosh was paroled earlier this year after spending about 10 years in custody.

McIntosh, who is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail, pleaded guilty in May 2001 to fatally shooting a 17-year-old friend outside a Westchester mall (McIntosh's plea came after a jury deadlocked on murder and manslaughter charges). During his trial, McIntosh testified that he accidentally fired his .380-caliber handgun as he removed the weapon from the waistband of his pants. Along with piercing the aorta of high school student O'shan Litchmore, the bullet struck an eight-year-old boy in the thigh.

McIntosh, who was 19 at the time of the January 2000 shooting, told jurors he reached for his gun while walking to a parking lot where he planned to confront a group of teenagers with whom he had earlier had a confrontation in the mall's food court.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

So the dude accidentally shot one of his friends to death, winged an 8 year old, intended to use a gun in a confrontation with some fellow teenagers, works at McDonalds and got into a face-slapping, iron-bar-whoopin' altercation with two women.

Can we sterilize this dude so his genes don't get passed on?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

This is where I think we need a very painful death penalty.

Seriously, if every idiot like this was just decapitated at the stake, we would have so many fewer idiots like this running the streets. More blood, yes, but less idiots.
