I'll be beer manning it again at the Baltimore Ravens games....and if we end up working all 8 Ravens home games, I'll miss 6 farging Eagles games :boom

However, that means I'll be working when the Eagles are there to play them, which will be cool.

But son of a bitch to missing the first game of the season.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

So you'd sacrifice your Sunday and watching the Eagles for $7 an hour? You need to go home and re-think your priorities.

What are you, crazy?

I get commission + tips....I was walking out of there with 150-160 bucks for like 4 hours of work last year.
I think my "worst" game there last year was 130 or so.

A whole $150! OMG!

You're talking to a poor college student.
Any job averaging $35 an hour is pretty sweet.
Not to mention it's a pretty fun expierience for a guy like me who generally can't afford to make it out to football games at NFL stadiums.....got to be there for the game against the Pats last year, which was exciting and luckily we left before the Ravens blew it.

And doing shtein for the company we work for opens up other shtein....like this past year I got to beer man at the Preakness and the Belmont stakes, made over $1000 total doing those two events, for about 15 hours of actual work.
We were offered doing merch at the all star game at Yankees Stadium but none of us could do it.
They did Virgin Fest last year and this year too, but I couldn't do it unfortunately.

The trade off being I have to miss some Eagles games during the football season, but...if the money isn't good enough, we won't go down there.

Man, not agian.

QuoteForecasters at the National Hurricane Center said they were surprised at how quickly Gustav gained strength as it charged toward Cuba. It went from a tropical storm to a Category 4 hurricane in about 24 hours, and was likely to become a Category 5 — with sustained winds of 156 mph or more — by Sunday.

Supposed to strengthen to a 5 before going back to a 4 just before hitting Louisiana.

New Orleans better get the hell out now.

maybe this will finally convince people that the environs commonly known as "New Orleans" are an absolutely awful place for human society to dwell.

They are, the article I posted said people are evacuating by the millions, gas stations along the evac. routes are running out of gas, and phone lines are jammed.

Jay better keep his eyes peeled.  If it tilts 100 miles to the west then Houston could get drilled.
