Sarge, being that your a marine, did you guys hear anything about that case. 

No, it didn't really get any media coverage down here.  If I'm not mistaken, the Marine from that story was stationed out in Camp Pendleton, CA.  And even though the Marine Corps is relatively small, it's a mirror image of the civilian sector in the sense that news stories are typically kept at a local level unless it's something extroardinary.

After the story was posted on here, I even asked a few other a Marines if they'd heard about it, but none of them had.  Except one dude......but he happened to be from the same area that the accident happened and he was also on leave when it happened too. 

Unfortunately, a Marine being killed on the highway isn't front page news because it happens on a weekly basis. 

I'd be willing to bet that the base newspaper out at Camp Pen had a story on it though.

Last week there were 2 seperate accidents on the main drag coming from the main gate at Lejeune.  Both of them occured around 0700.  The first one happened less than a mile down the road from the main gate and the vehicle somehow managed to not only flip itself in the opposite direction of where it was heading, but it also ended up laying on it's passenger side and was a good 20+ yards off the road when it finally settled. 

I can't even imagine how that happened because even though the speed limit there is 55, there's so much traffic coming through the gate at that time of day that it's almost impossible to get your vehicle over 40.  It also appeared to just be a one car accident too. 

Marines are fuggin retards.

March 7, 2007 -- A beautiful blond music teacher has been busted for allegedly having a torrid affair with an underage special-ed student.

Emily Streb, 23, was arraigned yesterday on third-degree rape and other charges at Bronx Criminal Court for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old, whose name is being withheld because of the nature of the charge.

"The complaining witness is a special-ed student who suffers from psychiatric problems," Assistant DA Heather Cook told Judge Ralph Fabrizio. "She was his music teacher."

The two had sex "multiple" times at the teacher's Bronx home from last October to November, and in the evening or early morning at the student's Bronx home in December, Cook said.

If I were to make up a totally bogus story to publish in the paper just for fun and had to use a female pen name, I would probably pick Denise Buffa as the name, and write about a beautiful 23 year old blond teacher named Emily Streb having a "torrid affair" with a psycho special student in the Bronx. Ralph Fabrizio might be a second or maybe third choice for the Judge. Maybe "Judge Ralph" could become another popular yet worthless afternoon judge show.

Who says this is the kind of shtein you just can't make up?

I'd prefer to not imagine that horrific scenerio.  However, in that situation I would recommend killing a pig and making more bacon.  Then kill whoever is responsible for allowing the bacon supply to get so low without replenishing it.
