I don't understand the IPod craze. I have an MP3 player, and I like it for when I am working out, etc., but what is the big deal with the IPods? Do they do some extra cool and special thing the other MP3 Players don't?

i have one. i love it. although i don't call it a craze for myself. but i do like that 75% of my music collection...i currently have 175 cds loaded into it at all times. and about 7000 songs on it.

it plugs into my car in 2 seconds. and my home stereo. when i dont buy from the itunes store, and actually get a physical CD...it's on the iPod immediately and i never touch the CD again.

anything i could ever want to listen to that i own is usually with me at work, the car, or the gym (the only places i really use the ipod)

call me a dinosaur but i like real cd's...like the booklet and the cover and all that

i dont even like burnt cd's much less ipods

then again i dont now nor have i ever had a cell phone
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

you can actually download the cover and booklets with most newer albums on itunes. which i find to be a cool feature.

im with Wingspan.  I like having 40 gigs of MP3's available.   My only problem is they are all about making smaller Ipods.  I want a bigger one.   Ive been digitizing my cd collection for months and im way over the 40 gig limit.  I want all that shtein available at once, ALL!

the newest iPod has 60G on it...mine's a 30G and is about 80% full.
