In regards to Eagaholic's post; I actively will look at what plane is scheduled to fly the route I'm booking. Just to avoid the MAX. Now obviously if the airline is using it as a replacement plane in a city I'm not originally going to not much can be done. But yeah as much as I always wanted to seek out Boeing planes after their MAX disaster they've moved down a notch for me.

Spirit/Frontier are Russian roulette. Half the time the planes are delayed or outright canceled the other half you fly without a hitch. I don't mind paying the extra to fly with a better airline the problem is the flight times are never as abundant as the cheapo flights. I will say it's entertaining when a flights delayed and you're on a cheap airline with folks flying back to Philly. This cities reputation as rough is deserved.

Thanks Dio, I might well do that. My return trip yesterday was boring. But on the upside, when I flew into Dulles a few days ago we stopped at the Smithsonian national air and space museum. For anybody that might be interested in that kind of thing I recommend it if you get the chance. I saw such attractions as the space shuttle Discovery, Enola Gay and the SR 71 Blackbird, which was what I wanted to see most. Very cool. And yeah, good idea keep an eye out for the MAX and avoid it.

when I was growing up in reading we were something like top 5-10 Puerto Rican population in the whole US.  There are billboards down there advertising to move to Reading.

between general migration and the hurricane that destroyed them, there is a lack of people left on the island

lot of businesses are super short staffed and unlike other places, they cant pull in cheap immigrant labor. i did notice that the only dark skinned people on the island were doing janitorial type work. tourism continues at normal rates so the puzzle isnt quite working and im not sure if it will ever work
