Dan Hermann, a computer programmer in New York, updated his gadgets to the new daylight savings time three weeks ago, only to have them automatically shift forward by another hour on Sunday, the previous start date for daylight savings time.

"I panicked. I thought I was late for church," said Hermann.

energy saving bullshtein aside, i like that we changed early this year.  i always thought daylight savings time was dumb anyway.  who cares if its farging light out when you wake up?  all most people do is go straight to work.  i'd much rather have some sunlight left after the workday is over.

Kids sitting on corners waiting in the dark for buses isn't good, matt.

I drive my kid to school anyway so it doesn't affect us but a lot of parents were pissed off about it here because it gets light later here than in other areas of the east coast.
