Did the airline provide the rental cars?  If so, then no big deal and anyone bitching about it needs to stfu.  Admittedly, I'd be pretty hot if I had to shell out the extra money for a rental too, even understanding that the diversion to RDU was unavoidable.  I paid $XXX.XX for transportation to MB so I expect to not have to pay any additional money to actually get to MB.

Maybe they should have just cancelled the flight from the get go and comped the passengers.  Not like this thing just popped up and caught them by surprise while they were already in the air. 

A transportation company has a job to get it's pax and cargo from pt A to pt B.  I don't give a farg if Florida sank to the bottom of the ocean.  If the people didn't get what they paid for, they have a legit gripe.

Not sure if they paid for rentals or not but being that they're Allegiant I'm gonna guess no.

ULCC's (ultra low cost carriers) are notorious for stiffing people. Spirit will leave yo ass stranded and not even pretend to care.

Many people had travel interrupted by Harvey and Irma. Sucks for their bad luck. I read one passenger complaining about no compensation for the diverted flight. Once again lady be happy you're alive! You were flying into a hurricane zone.

How the farg are you supposed to dispose of a microwave oven?  Garbage man won't take it.  Recycling centers won't take it.  Junk yard won't take it.
Landfills won't take it.  Best Buy won't take it despite the fact that they have an electronics recycling program. 

I've got a dead microwave sitting on my patio for like a month now.  Can't find any place that takes them.  This thing is about to find it's way to the bottom of the Susquehanna River.
