Rome

So I just heard there's going to be a solar eclipse today.

Anyone know if two shade 10 welding mask glass pieces put together would provide enough protection?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

How pissed off would you be if you drove all the way to some remote farging place to view the eclipse, only to find yourself surrounded by iceholes who chant a countdown like a game show audience and cheer like football fans throughout?

I'd already be pissed if I drove to some remote place to view an eclipse.  Even moreso if the eclipse was mostly obstructed by clouds.

Vile. I was with a peaceful crowd out in the desert which was almost ruined by iceholes who arrived at the last minute and decided the eclipse should be all about them doing extremely loud dirt bike tricks in the dark. They were given encouragement to kill the motors and wisely decided to heed the advice.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

If someone can get a photo of an eclipse over Niagara, that would be amazing. Although it's upstate NY in April, so most likely the photo would just be of clouds over Niagara.

I heard about this this morning, my issue with this is every ship has a Quartermaster who charts courses in case the ships electronic systems fail. They also have an Operations Specialist who charts their course on moboard charts, which is a back up and charts ships in the area and their bearing and speed compared to the ships bearing and speed so they can do every thing possible to avoid collisions. Navy ships also use a gyro compass which can't be manipulated by electromagnetic fields and I can't see how a rudder could be manipulated by cyber warfare. I guess it's a good idea to check all parameters.

QuoteFirefighters in Wiltshire, England rescued 18 piglets and two sows from a barn that was going up in flames in February, according to the BBC. The fire ended up consuming 60 tons of hay. Six months later, the farm gave the firefighters sausage made from the pigs to thank them.
