No confirmation yet that it's him, but unless he's Houdini, then I don't know who else it could be.

Was really hoping they'd take him alive. At least a few questions could have been answered. Now everything is mostly just speculation.

And it doesn't seem like he really accomplished much by way of revenge. He got the daughter of his union rep and her fiancé. The others cops he killed weren't involved in his career as far as I know.  Other than maybe scaring the crap out of them for a few days, the rest of his "targets" got off relatively easy.

Also, for such a highly trained individual, he really didn't cover his tracks very well. Got very sloppy. Not to mention that he spent most of his time running around the mountains 100+ miles from LA. Kind of hard to go after your targets if you aren't even in the same area code, isn't it?

Taking his stated goals into consideration, I'd say he was reasonably successful:

a.) he literally terrified the cops (and their families) across several states
b.) he killed four people, two of them cops, and injured another three cops
c.) they didn't get him alive

but most of all...

d.)  he scared the cops so much they shot up not one, but two different trucks that were not his--not even the same make--without warning, injuring two asian women, and scaring the living shtein out of one scrawny white dude, none of whom look anything like Dorner.  If his goal was to draw attention to how unprofessional the LAPD really is, then Mission Accomplished.
