I say Happy Jew Year.

Somehow, two flies got inside the house and now they're hovering around me. I did shower earlier, but these fargers are doing some weird, kamikaze, taunting bullshtein. I just smacked one with a notebook...it fell on a desk behind me...I went to go scoop it up...and it took off on me. It was playing dead. Weird as farging flies.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I had about 10 chigger bites on each leg when I stopped off in Kansas a couple weeks ago.  I hate those farging things.  The only really nice thing about living in the desert was the lack of bugs.  No mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, chiggers, etc.  I could go at least a month without needing to clean the grill or windshield on my truck, and even then it wasn't very bad.  I've only been in PA for a little more than a week now and I could barely see through my windshield until that storm was nice enough to help wash it away yesterday.

Wait...are we playing "Is it Racist?"
I was just waiting for Hawk to go off on them.

And they are the worst Sarge, you dont notice them for a few days, then BAM itchy bumps.  Its the second time I've gotten them this year.

My drivers license expired back in 2009.  No biggie since PA allows indefinite extensions on licenses for active duty military as long as they are serving out of state.  So now that I'm back in PA, I have 45 days to renew.  I figured I'd have to provide my discharge paperwork along with a copy of my orders to California, but I just called PennDot and the process is surprisingly simple.  Just did my registration online (no additional documentation needed on my part to show why I haven't renewed in 3 years) and printed out a temp license until my camera card comes in the mail.  There's also a photo license joint about 2 miles down the road from my house which will save me the half hour drive to the closest DMV.

Also, props to PennDot's customer service.  Minimum wait time (maybe 2 minutes) and spoke with a very pleasant lady who explained everything to me.

Don't get used to friendly PennDOT customer service. Exception and not the norm

They've come a long, long way. Being in the Harrisburg area, I've gone more than a few times to their main service outlet. Many years ago, a simple car registration renewal meant having to stand in line for an hour. Now they have the system down to maybe 5 minutes. And the workers who used to be grumpy and mean are actually rather pleasant.

Not really. The counties in Cali are massive compared to the East Coast. I lived on the outter edge of LA County and was stll about 70-80 miles from LA. So all of the money floating around in downtown LA or Beverly Hills or any other rich neighborhood is balanced out by the ghettos in Compton, Watts and all the poor desert trash that lived out near me.
