I've heard people bitching for 10 years about how xmas stuff shouldn't be on the shelves until after turkey day and how it keeps coming out earlier and earlier every year.  Hell, I used to bitch about it.  But it just isn't true.  Otherwise, at some point during the last 10 years it would have already moved ahead of Halloween on the calendar.  Same goes for holiday songs on the radio.  It all starts up roughly the same time every year and it's not coming out any closer to Halloween now than it did 10 or 20 years ago.  It only seems that way because time seems to go by faster as you age.  As a kid, Halloween to Thanksgiving was an eternity and so was Thanksgiving to Xmas.  At 35 that shtein goes by in the blink of an eye to me.  So just deal with it.  It'll all be over sooner than you think anyway, you grumpy old bastiches.
