I just paid for my first speeding ticket in 8 years (73 in a 55). It sucked, but it made me remember how this used to be a regular part of my life. Between the ages of 16 and 24 I got 12 speeding tickets. That was an expensive habit.

I hope you fought it. Go to court early, the cop will pull you aside, knock it down to a lesser offense (he equated it to me blowing a stop sign). No points on your record and the fine gets lowered. (I got $50 back)

what about a chipped front tooth? i chipped one in may, then last night the other one. and i wasnt even putting any kind of significant pressure on it.

This. You could end up screwing yourself badly if you don't go to court. Those points could mean a HUUUUGE rise in your auto insurance.

I'm just biting the bullet. I got the ticket on some backwoods road nowhere near where I live. My insurance is dirt farging cheap and I don't feel like sitting in a hick courtroom for a day to save myself $50 and points on my license. It's needless expense, but my time and sanity are worth whatever I end up paying.

Besides, I'm rich. Like, Havas-rich.

If you got the coin it's all good but I sat in the court lobby for maybe 10 minutes before the cop walked in and cut me a deal. Was definitely worth the time.
I should also give credit where it's due, pg was the one that told me to fight it.

i took a girl to this korean restaurant that a friend of mine owns in DC...we were already drunk and I forgot she was jewish so i ordered this spicy pork johnson which is my favorite....she ate some thinking it was beef...then when i told her it was pork she threw it at my face. it was pretty awesome.
