Sarge called it correct some posts back--Makers Mark is the bomb piece

Maker's is good as a reliable, decent tasting fall-back for when you're  at a bar that doesn't have any good bourbon.

What Makers has going for it is distribution.  Every bar in the world has a bottle of the stuff.

Opinions on Knob Creek.  I find it delicious, but are you paying for a name over quality?

Here's the list of booze available at the liquor store i frequent.  IGY if you ever want some crazy beers, or booze, this place is a mecca.  State Line Liquors its 30seconds off I95

Johnnie Walker blue label is about the only stuff I drink when I am in the mood for scotch. It's a bit expensive, but I don't drink it often, so it's not like I am dropping hundreds a month on it. Also, it's scotch, paying $20-$30 a bottle gets you swill, but not a decent scotch. I also got a bottle of Glenfiddich for X-mas from a co-worker. I'll have to get it out, but it's aged for 15 or more years before it's sold. Saving it for a special occasion. Other than that, I prefer beer, with Vodka being a close second.

Ah, I've bought beer from there before. Definitely the biggest liquor store I've been in. Besides that time I farged MDS's mom, of course.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

March 29, 2009.  I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning in St. Louis.

I feel bad for all those poor snow flakes...what a lousy place to end up.
