He wasn't.  He was re-signed on January 11 and immediately allocated to NFL Europe.

They always carry 5 DTs. They'll still carry 5 even with Howard being able to play DT. Marshall could make it and be inactive on gamedays though. Just be there for depth purposes. I stand by my 5 I listed.

They don't always, and they very well may not this year.  You'll see.

Keyonta Marshall's NFLE diary

"That first game was pretty tiring, but I'm rounding into the kind of shape I want to be in. I'm just trying to play hard on every snap and see where that gets me. By the time we're in the fourth or fifth week, I expect to be able to go full speed on every play without being tired. The conditioning is a big part of why I'm here. I weighed in at 318 here and now I'm at about 325."

"Now, I haven't tried walking around naked. I know that when we leave our hotel, he's standing up there on the deck totally naked. Maybe he's our good-luck charm or something, I don't know. Nobody knows who he is, but when we come out of the hotel he's there, every time."

"I don't think I'm going to take part in the nudity thing. I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet. Hey, I'm not sure Germany is ready to see Keyonta Marshall walking around without any clothes on, but you never know. It's still early in the season."
