If the Eagles don't even re-sign Runyan back, I will be... concerned for Donovan's safety.

Better go back to one sentence posts, then.

You love me Rjs, face it.

Again, did a SEARCH on philly.com for where he said that and there is NOTHING.

LB MARKET HEATING UP
The two top defensive free agents are both 27-year-old Pro Bowl, playmaking linebackers -- LaVar Arrington, formerly of Washington, and Julian Peterson, formerly of San Francisco.

But the market on each looks like it's heating up.

When healthy, who wouldn't want a LaVar Arrington that can get 80 tackles a season?
The Giants have been anxious to add Arrington, knowing he could be the centerpiece of their defense. But they're going to have to outbid Arrington's former defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis and the Cincinnati Bengals; the Miami Dolphins, whose linebacker coach George Edwards already has coached Arrington to two Pro Bowls; the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been monitoring Arrington's whereabouts on an almost daily basis; and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Uh, OK, so what's preventing us from pulling the trigger?  I'm not buying the Arrington hype.

I didn't feel like checking Philly.com for it, but apparently Brookover reported that the Patriots are interested in Runyan...

Not sure where he said that....its nowhere on philly.com

QuoteExtra points. The Eagles re-signed wide receiver Darnerien McCants to a one-year deal yesterday. McCants appeared in 12 games with the Eagles last season, primarily on special teams, and had five catches for 87 yards... . There are rumblings that the New England Patriots may have an interest in Eagles right tackle Jon Runyan.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Apparently Adam Schefter said the Eagles have called and shown interest in Arrington today. I would doubt it, but he said it casually a couple weeks ago about Darren Howard and he was right.

Here's what I get from Arrington. He's expressed interest in playing for the Eagles and would like to be reunited with Trotter. The Eagles have a deal out there for him that's probably not either A) the length he was looking for or B) the money he thinks he's worth. Arrington is shopping around looking for something better. It's sort of like what we did with Burress last season.

well, considering they just called to set up a visit late yesterday, who knows if the Eagles have even made any decisions....let alone Arrington.

Do we know if they actually set up a visit, or if they simply called to let his agent(s) know that there is some level of interest there?
