Those are the types of moves the team has been making.  I didn't feel it was worthy of putting my own hilarious spin on it, but rather the imagery of Mr. T, Bea Arthur, Ric Flair, and the Keebler elf all visiting NovaCare, and Reid saying in the press conference that they're "good players" and "good people" just made me snarf slightly.

Bob Brookover in today's column said the Eagles think they are set at receiver. The only thing possibly they may add in free agency is a SAM and possibly re-sign Runyan.

Take it for what it's worth.

Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

FWIW is right. Brookover was the first one to "report" the Bentley deal being done from the very start. He was the source everyone got the info from.

Could've gotten it from the agent too...just to pump up interest in his guy. Agents love to leak stuff. But I'm sure the Eagles leaked some too. Well, we know the Eagles thought they had him.

Schefter said on NFL Network last night that the Dolphins are making a push for either Arrington or Peterson.  He also mentioned San Diego, and said that if neither of them work out, LaVar would probably just sign with Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati.  No mention of the Eagles at all.

Eckel's source was NOT the Eagles.

I read that this morning and thought it was good to see. I have a feeling that they could take a shot at Peterson but are waiting until the Poston who wasn't suspended comes down on the prices.

If you notice, none of the Postons big time clients have signed. Arrington is still out there. Charles Woodson hasn't had a sniff and Peterson is still out there.

If by some miracle they did grab Peterson and re-signed Runyan I would be happy with the FA pull they've made.

Pretty much. They've filled some holes. If they get Jon back and add a stud SAM to go along with a nice draft I will be very excited.

Peterson-Trotter-Barber = pretty damn good.

The defense would be shutdown.

i'd still complain.
they didn't upgrade the o-line at all.

I think they have to consider themselves set at WR for now.  If the Packers get closer to the start of the season and Walker isn't flinching, maybe you take a look there.  Once the Bills drop Moulds, you want to gauge interest.  But there's certainly no one else on the FA market worth adding.

I hope to God they get Peterson or Arrington.  I don't care if they spend all their first day picks on defensive linemen... it doesn't change the fact that Dhani Jones is an extremely average player at best.

As for the OL, not signing Runyan at this point would be completely unacceptable.  He is the best FA out there, and he wants to come back.  It would be a disservice to the whole offense, fan base, and Runyan if he's allowed to sign elsewhere.  The rest of the line is shaky enough as it is, for Chrissakes.  It sounds more and more like they may go with Herremans and Clarke competing at LG and Jackson and Fraley at C.  Yippee!
